The Craftsman Cottage
"The Craftsman Cottage" sits overlooking the Beaufort River, part of the intra-coastal waterway. The cottage is very private. The front bedroom has a king-sized bed, the middle bedroom has two twins, and the back bedroom has a queen bed. The cottage includes two bathrooms, remodeled in January 2023. One has a tile and glass walk-in shower, and the other has a shallow tub with glass and tile walk-in shower. There is ample parking for three cars. The private shaded garden to the side of the cottage includes patio table and chairs, birdbath, and a bench. A short walk or bike ride to the restaurants and shops of the beautiful town of Beaufort. The cottage is perfect for a group of couples, or a family.

The space
The cottage has three bedrooms with a king, two twins and a queen-sized bed. The kitchen comes with a dining table and chairs, and two bar stools at the counter top. We proudly do our own cleaning and maintenance. As seasoned travelers we are aware what an excited guest is hoping to experience, and we strive to please.
Guest access
Our location makes the downtown shops, restaurants and waterfront park easily accessible on foot, or via the two Magnolia Court bicycles (subject to availability). Just a 200 yard walk north of the property is Pigeon Point Park, with it's playground for children, and picnic tables. A short walk south takes guests to the Point, and it's historic houses, used and spared from destruction during the Civil War by the Confederate Army as a hospital.

From the moment my family and I arrived at the Cottage, it was the loveliest experience. It was a short but lovely walk to downtown Beaufort which we snuck in every morning. The cottage itself is so warm and inviting - it was the most comfortable we've ever felt in a rental. This rental is also equipped with everything you could need for a week long stay - adequate seating for a family of 6 and a full kitchen to prepare snacks and meals. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and look forward to booking again!

Absolutely fantastic stay in this beautiful Cottage. It was more than we expected. The perfect space for our family of six attending my brother's MCRD graduation. Great location closed to Paris Island. The Kitchen was fully equipped very clean and very spacious ... read more. We found a beautiful gift bag with treats on the kitchen counter when we arrived. We especially enjoyed the coffee and the delicious Hobnobs! The attention to detail was impeccable! The house is very clean and comfortable. The vintage stereo located in the kitchen was a plus, and the CD music selection was very delightful and entertaining. Love it!
Jackie and Duncan are five-star host. They were accommodating to our needs/requests. Easy to communicate. The check-in process was excellent – you can access the cottage using a code meaning you can check in whenever suits you. We felt safe and relaxed the whole time. Would not change a thing. This Cottage is truly a gem!

Close to everything that Beaufort has to offer and short drive to awesome Savannah. You cannot go wrong! Also, the owners were professional and warm to the T. You will not get a better experience than with Jackie and Duncan. We will definitely be back. We loved this place.
